Despite the (supposedly) inspirational movement of encouraging women to be proud of their no-makeup look, my view has been the same for over two decades now, that we should be proud of something we earn, something we work hard for, not something we got for free.

A friend of mine visits his elderly mother every week and notices that the aged care home she’s in has many old people who are alone, and many of them look like they have no will to live.
